Teh paranoid right
This would be hilarious if it weren't for the fact that a significant portion of the American (and probably Canadian as well) electorate believe this sort of paranoid bullshit.
Ian, I think we have the same lunatic fringe in Canada as they do in the states - about 10% would still vote to Stephen Harper even if he ate a live kitten on prime time television just because "he's not a Liberal" and a further 5% who think he is too liberal. You can find both types over at Small Dead Animals and various Blogging Tories sites, but I recommend you bring a gas mask and a barf bag if you go over there.
Please don't lump Canadians in with the paranoid sludge you get down in the States. We have our lunatic fringe, but it's really just that.
