The plunge continues. Veteran newspaper guy suggests a new pay-for-content model that others see as an online ritual suicide pact.

    I don't think Alan Mutter really understands the internet, or its users. He wants me to pay for the right to get targeted advertising. He wants me to pay to be tracked from site to site and have my reading habits recorded and data mined.

    Yeah. Right.
