Footage shot in Minamisanriku, a town of about 20,000 more or less erased by the March 11 tsunami. So far only about half of the residents have been found alive. My in-laws live about 30 km inland from here.
It sorta puts stories about Donald Trump running for president, Charlie Sheen and royal wedding in perspective, doesn't it?

Good god.
I don't think "good" is much related to the deity these days. My family was spared by random chance, but thousands were killed in this small town alone. Imagine if Belleville or Collingwood or Comox were suddenly just wiped off the map.
I think I'll send this to the local Presbyterian minister who is using Japan as an example of how his god tests people so that they can learn, grow, and mature from hardship. I don't think he has a clue about how bad this is. I don't think any of us do.
Unimaginable devastation.
Right before your eyes, an entire city demolished in minutes.
David, just think how much that minister would learn, grow and mature if God burned down his house and then drowned him and his entire family. What a learning, growing, maturing experience a terrifying death like that must be.
