This Search Engine Kills Fascists

While we in Canada had a crown-wearing Beaver for our national birthday Google Doodle, our neighbours to the south were treated to the work of one of their greatest patriots,  who would have been 100 years old on July 12 14.

Naturally, this did not sit well with the very people Woody claimed his guitar killed. Mainly because, as one of the commenters at Tbogg points out, these people are nuttier than squirrel poop.
And so, we have a little song from Woody for Twitter users @MarciDPorter @DeusVult1911 @PL1776 and @JammieWF

Love this song. BTW, small correction. Woody's birthday is July 14th. Hope you are doing well, Rev! We miss you.

You beat me to it Seattle. Jeez Rev. you should have known that. It's next Saturday. The Woodystock BBQ and Hootenanny. I might even bring a cake like we did for Stravinsky Day.

I suppose Google had tried to doodle 'Get in the Ring' by Guns 'N Roses, but the font for Slash's top hat just wasn't feeling it. Wow. Communist? Really?

The right-wing nut jobs are just upset that Woody Guthrie is getting the recognition he deserves, while the best they must can muster music-wise are Ted Nugent and Lee Greenwood.
