Zal Yanovsky, from last week's Lovin' Spoonful video, started out in California with fellow canuck Denny Doherty and Cass Elliot in a band called the Mugwups. Denny and Cass later met John and Michelle Phillips and formed the Mamas and the Papas. Pierre Elliot Trudeau later dated Michelle Phillips --thus returning the circle of musical trivia to Canada
