I am certain you have devoured his "Paddle" books as well (Song Of, Path of) and share my love of that tent. I really want to camp in that tent, but am getting flack from the distaff side. If only she weren't from northern BC and born with an axe in hand, then I could mount a defence. Damn. Still, love that tent.
two camping pals of mine had tents like that made - they work great when you set them up facing each other - gives you a space to sit outside even in rain. I think the design is called a "Baker tent"
