That's my daughter

She's had an eventful summer and autumn: Moving from Japan to Canada, turning 8 years old, mastering the two-wheeler, learning to do more than dogpaddle, starting at a new school and now she's become an award-winning artist.

Excuse me, I think I have something in my eye....

Dear Mr. Reverend Paperboy, Sir:

That is a watercolor, yes? Very well done. I did something like that which was much more amateurish--when I was 38--hence the camera habit.

Clearly not one for the fridge magnets to hold up but rather a frame. It is adorable and clearly better than most adults (self included) could do. Lots to be proud of there seeing all that blossoming talent.

oh, Rev...this is truly a beautiful painting! Watercolor is such a difficult medium to master and she has done an amazing job here. Kudos to your daughter :)

Holy Monkey! That is one talented little person. And you are right; quite the summer of change for her. I tried to enjoy the song, but I am at work and there seems to be pollen or dust around my desk, 'cause my eyes got all bleary and stuff. Stupid eyes.
